Freedom Real Estate is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to assist with the management of all aspects of a construction project from start to finish across multiple business lines (Development, Advisory Services, and Construction).
Responsibilities- Assist in coordinating project activities, schedules, and timelines to support the Project Manager.
- Monitor project progress and update tracking tools to ensure tasks stay on schedule.
- Prepare and distribute project documentation, including meeting minutes, reports, and logs.
- Support communication between project teams, subcontractors, and clients as directed.
- Assist in maintaining project budgets by tracking costs and reporting discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards on site.
- Conduct basic administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and document management.
- Participate in project meetings and provide follow‑up support on action items.
- Aid in resolving minor project issues and escalating larger concerns to the Project Manager.
- Assist with site inspections and report findings to ensure alignment with project plans.
- Maintain organized project records and ensure all documentation is up‑to‑date and accessible.
- Review submittals and shop drawings for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist the Preconstruction Manager with estimating, subcontractor bidding, and procurement.
- Review and approve subcontractor/supplier pay applications.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- 0–5 years of experience assisting with construction project management.
- Basic proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of construction processes, safety standards, and quality control principles.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards. OSHA 30 training and First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
- A team player with the ability to develop leadership skills.
- Self‑starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to easily learn new software.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
M‑F; 8‑5 with additional hours as needed and flexibility to meet the needs of the company.
Work LocationHeadquarters Office and Project sites.
TravelYes, local with flexibility for some out‑of‑town assignments may be required.
