Surveyor

Grounds Control of Huntsville is seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Surveyor with a specialization in site work. As a Construction Surveyor, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate measurements, establishing reference points, and providing essential data for construction projects.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct topographic surveys to determine existing site conditions, including elevation, features, and boundaries.

* Establish and maintain control points for accurate positioning and alignment of structures and infrastructure.

* Conduct construction layout surveys to mark reference points, lines, and grades on the project site.

* Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to interpret design plans and specifications.

* Use surveying equipment such as Total Stations, GPS, and digital levels to collect precise measurements and data.

* Prepare survey reports, sketches, and calculations for project documentation and record-keeping purposes.

* Monitor and assess construction progress to ensure compliance with project specifications.

* Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to survey measurements and layout.

* Assist in resolving conflicts or disputes related to property boundaries or easements.

* Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in construction surveying.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Construction Surveyor specializing in site work.

* Proficiency in operating surveying equipment, including Total Stations, GPS, digital levels, Trimble knowledge and ability to train others

* Strong knowledge of surveying principles, methodologies, and techniques.

* Familiarity with CAD software and other surveying tools.

* Solid understanding of construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.

* Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.

* Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in survey measurements.

* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with project stakeholders.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.

* Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
