What this job involves

As a Project Manager at JLL, you’ll take ownership of construction and real estate projects from initiation through closeout, serving as the central point of coordination for clients, contractors, and cross‑functional teams. This role places you at the heart of project delivery, where you’ll balance technical expertise with strong relationship‑building skills to keep projects on track, on budget, and aligned with quality standards.

You will manage everything from secure facility construction and ICD‑705 compliant upgrades to light manufacturing, machining, and infrastructure projects, ensuring seamless execution across all phases.

Day‑to‑day responsibilities
  • Manage project execution including scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements while serving as the primary client contact throughout delivery
  • Coordinate cross‑functional project teams including architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and seamless communication
  • Oversee building infrastructure, space buildout, and secure facility construction projects, including ICD‑705 compliant upgrades and new secure facility buildouts, maintaining strict operational security protocols
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budget tracking systems, and risk logs to proactively identify and address potential issues
  • Review and process contractor submittals, RFIs, change orders, and payment applications to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely approvals
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, verify quality control standards, and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Facilitate project meetings including design reviews, construction coordination sessions, and client status updates to keep all stakeholders informed
  • Prepare comprehensive project documentation, meeting minutes, and status reports that provide clear visibility into project health and milestones
  • Maintain organized project files including drawings, specifications, correspondence, and closeout documentation for audit readiness and knowledge transfer
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of project management or construction management experience managing light manufacturing, machining, and infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated success delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Strong proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents with accuracy
  • Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, sequencing, and building codes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, contractors, and senior leadership
  • Detail‑oriented mindset with strong problem‑solving capabilities and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Availability for full‑time on‑site presence as required by project needs
  • US citizenship required due to government contract requirements
  • Valid driver license
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience supporting secure facility projects or government construction programs
  • Active security clearance or ability to obtain clearance for defense industry clients
  • Familiarity with secure facility construction practices, security protocols, and OPSEC requirements
  • Knowledge of ICD‑705 standards and classified project delivery methodologies
  • Professional certification such as PMP, CCM, or LEED accreditation
