What You Will Do
The Construction Program Manager supports the Federal Client’s large and complex construction projects, including construction, design/build, architecture and engineering, space management, facilities management, real estate, and leasing.
- Able to manage a large multi‑faceted project, providing construction management oversight during mobilization, site preparation, construction, fit‑out, commissioning, and occupancy.
- Provides leadership, oversight, and overall responsibility for the timeliness, completeness, and quality of multiple construction projects.
- Interfaces with clients to define requirements and manages general oversight of duties involved in the construction and renovation of government real property.
- Manages the project management team, coordinates with the government agency, its clients, architect‑engineers, construction contractors, and other supporting contractors, delegating tasks and providing technical assistance to subordinate project managers.
- Ensures quality of work products and timeliness of delivery by team members.
- Maintains a deep understanding and knowledge of each phase of the construction process, including architectural design and development of construction documents by architects and engineers.
- Communicates with the project team, architects, clients, vendors, and staff to keep user needs and schedule on track.
- Tracks metrics, updates logs, leads meetings, and prepares documentation such as scope of work, technical reviews, and miscellaneous reports.
- Develops charters, acts as a Change Agent Manager, defines roles and responsibilities, performs project tracking, adopts best practices, promotes customer involvement, enforces effective change control, develops contingency plans, and provides recommended solutions to manage project priorities.
- Active and maintained “Top Secret” Federal or DoD security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree; or five (5) years of additional construction, facility, project management, or other relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Fifteen (15) or more years of experience in construction, facility, or project management.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
