Overview
The 2026 Summer Arts & Activism Project will bring 20 young women/GNC youth ages 14-21 from San Francisco for four weeks to:
- Make site-specific dance & off-the-ground dance on suspended steel hoops, with professional choreographers Jo Kreiter and Megan Lowe.
- Explore body percussion and vocalizing with Phoenix Song.
- Earn $550
- Create and perform your own original dances
- Uplift community voices who have manifested or are working to manifest real ownership on the city’s streets.
- Connect with young women/GNC youth across neighborhoods, schools, ethnicity, sexual orientation and gender identity
