Usual DutiesThe Lecturer in Chemistry is expected to teach non‑majors chemistry, general chemistry, and possibly organic chemistry courses with excellence, using innovative, inclusive, and evidence‑based instructional practices. The lecturer will design and maintain high‑quality course materials, provide timely and constructive feedback to students, and hold regular office hours to support academic success. They are expected to contribute to curriculum improvement and collaborate effectively with colleagues to advance departmental goals.
Active participation in service, advising, and professional development to enhance teaching and promote student engagement is also expected.
A Ph.D. in Chemistry is preferred, although a Masters degree with 18 graduate hours of chemistry would be considered.
Experience Requirements- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
