Required Qualifications:

• Active Special Education Teacher certification for Alabama (AL SPED license)
• Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in a behavioral or self-contained classroom
• Strong classroom management and positive behavior intervention skills
• Ability to foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for elementary students with behavioral needs
• Provide instruction and academic support tailored to each student's strengths and challenges
• Utilize evidence-based strategies to promote positive behaviors and social-emotional growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to meet all student needs
• Maintain accurate documentation on progress and communicate regularly with families and team members
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to ensure engagement and success for all learners
