Systems Integrator RSE

Description

The Lockheed Martin Space team is searching for a Ground Support and Transportation System Integration Responsible Systems Engineer (SI RSE) to join a team developing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity.

• Integrate mechanical design and transportation to launch site processing architecture across production operations and mission.
• Support the Systems Engineer Product Owner, Subsystem Chief Engineer, and AUR System Integration Lead through product certification and mission integration.
• Drive the integration effort, support the Chief Engineers, identify resolution plans, assign tasks, negotiate commitments, and track to closure.
• Host integration working group forums and serve as the focal point to drive integration issues to closure.
• Elevate cross‑subsystem integration issues to the production manufacturing facility and launch site as they are identified.
• Identify critical integration events and plan necessary execution.
• Execute critical integration events and drive discovered integration issues to closure.
• Support design reviews, review boards, TIMs, and working groups.

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience and knowledge.
• System integration experience.
• Experience and knowledge of processes in one or more of the following areas:

• Systems Engineering
• Requirement definition, decomposition, and allocation
• Interface definition (ICD, IBDs, IDDs)
• Missile Transportation requirement derivation and verification
• Planning and coordinating hardware testing for verification
• Performing system integration and test
• Support to major reviews
• Writing specifications, DOORS usage
• Mechanical integration

• DOD Customer interface experience.
• Experience presenting at major reviews.
• Missile Transportation experience.
• Missile or Weapon System Development.
• CONOPS or Architecture Development.
• System Level trade studies.

Secret. This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
