Description:

Seeking a Configuration and Data Management Specialist to join our team located in Huntsville, AL.

• Perform management of engineering changes for completeness and accuracy including configuration identification, control, verification, and status accounting
• Provide guidance and support for configuration management practices, principles, and policies in accordance with the SED Enterprise Process Improvement and Collaboration (EPIC) procedures
• Work with the Project Lead and the Project Team to ensure that all Configuration Items (CIs) are identified, documented, approved and controlled
• Facilitate the SED Configuration Control Board (SCCB) meetings for managing software, hardware and documentation
• Provide configuration status accounting to the Project Lead and the SCCB
• Perform periodic configuration audits to verify integrity of the baselines and CM records
• Prepare/submit Engineering Change Proposal (ECP)
• Assist with configuration audits (as required)
• Write and maintain the Configuration Management Plan
• Support the software build and release process
• Maintain strict version control of all software, hardware and documentation while following the EPIC process
• Ship and track releases to the Customer/Program Office

• Proven experience in configuration management
• Experience with supporting DoD organizations
• Experience implementing and maintaining configuration management and document control processes
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project) and Microsoft Share Point
• Work independently as well as in a team environment to contribute to the completion of tasks
• Self-starter with above average communication skills
• Willingness to take direction from management
• Must have an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience
