Position Overview:
As a Manufacturing Engineer for New Product Introduction, you will define and implement the processes that enable high-quality, safe, and efficient final assembly production. You will partner with engineering, operations, and process technicians to develop documentation, tooling, standards, and workflows that support successful product launches. You will also help drive improvements in cost, quality, and manufacturability while ensuring production readiness for new and updated products.
This role offers the opportunity to influence launch outcomes, strengthen manufacturing systems, and shape how new products transition from development to full-scale production.
- Lead a new product launch from concept development to start of production, representing the manufacturing plant as project lead for all manufacturing site requirements
- Partner with the Process Technicians to develop and maintain process documentation and work instructions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with final assembly needs.
- Plan and coordinate production activities including builds, validations, and ramp-up to achieve launch schedules and product targets.
- Conduct direct labor studies, establish operational standards, and work with site manufacturing engineers to optimize workstation layouts.
- Evaluate designs using DFAM principles and provide feedback to resolve manufacturability and ergonomic issues.
- Define tooling and fixturing requirements and collaborate with tooling partners for procurement and implementation.
- Analyze manufacturing methods and recommend improvements to safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
- Lead PFMEA creation and sign-off for new products and ensure alignment with validation and manufacturing plans.
- Support cost-reduction efforts, material flow improvements, and work-cell development.
- Assist with equipment development, troubleshooting, and capital equipment studies including recommendations for capital expenditures.
- Manage change administration and maintain accurate procurement and project documentation.
- Lead problem-resolution activities including root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and closure.

You identify issues, assess root causes, and implement practical solutions that balance speed, quality, and risk. - Planning & Organization:
You manage time, resources, and priorities effectively to meet deadlines and deliver consistent results.
- B.S. in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechatronics, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience including experience in final assembly or related production environments.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly operations, PFMEA, SPC, control plans, and change management.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (Solid Works/Creo), AutoCAD, and advanced MS Office applications.
- Strong project management, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing plant environment with frequent time on the production floor, adherence to PPE and safety procedures, and occasional support during non-standard hours or ramp-up periods.
- Up to 25% travel to suppliers or satellite plants.
