Project Engineer (Site & Municipal Infrastructure)We’re looking for a Project Engineer to lead the design and delivery of impactful site development and municipal infrastructure projects. Based in our growing Huntsville office, this is a chance to influence development across northern Alabama, collaborate with top-tier talent, and help expand our local presence. From concept through construction, you’ll play a key role in shaping projects that directly improve the places we call home.
TheNuts and Bolts
- Lead the design and production of site and municipal infrastructure projects, including grading, utilities, stormwater systems, and roadway improvements.
- Serve as Engineer-of-Record, ensuring projects meet all codes, standards, and permitting requirements.
- Develop detailed construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Oversee and coordinate tasks across junior staff, CAD technicians, and cross-discipline partners.
- Work directly with clients, agencies, and stakeholders to move projects forward.
- Review deliverables for quality and mentor emerging engineers.
- Contribute to business development efforts, proposals, and project planning.
- Help shape the growth of our Huntsville office through technical leadership and relationship building.
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (ABET‑accredited)
- Alabama PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- 5–10 years in civil engineering, specializing in site development and municipal infrastructure
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and local/state permitting processes
- Strong communicator with proven leadership and team coordination skills
- Drive to make a tangible impact on local communities
