This position is for a dynamic, hardworking Reliability Engineer to support a new missile defense program.
Responsibilities- Perform technical planning, reliability analysis, availability analysis, life cycle assessments, failure modes and effects analysis for the total system.
- Perform functional analysis.
- Define and allocate requirements.
- Support interface definition and derive hardware and software reliability requirements responsive to customer requirements.
- Experience with Reliability HDBKS and Standards (e.g., MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-STD-1629, MIL-STD-1543, MIL-HDBK-338, MIL-HDBK-472).
- Demonstrated success in creating reliability predictions, independently completing reliability analysis, and/or interpreting and applying reliability requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership of teams or projects, technical reliability studies, evaluation of engineering design concepts, and mentoring of junior employees.
- Active or current Secret security clearance.
- Experience leading the creation, maintenance and/or delivery of reliability program plans, FMECA, critical items list, availability, maintainability analysis and predictions, including reliability‑centered maintenance.
- Experience with built‑in test design, analysis and verification, fault tree analysis, probability risk assessment, application of probability and statistics to support decisions regarding sample size, burn‑in life testing, and failure analysis investigations.
- Experience with failure reporting and corrective action system (FRACAS), dormancy effects, stockpile reliability testing, and explaining RAMT concepts in simple terms.
- Customer interface experience, especially with military customers.
- Demonstrated behaviours of a systems thinker with the ability to select and apply appropriate systems thinking skills to tackle problems and implement constructive change.
- Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of systems engineering.
- Experience with RAMT and PRA modeling software.
- Active or current Top Secret clearance.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite full‑time only.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules. Schedules range from a standard 40‑hour week to condensed schedules that provide additional flexibility.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 – $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range reflects the candidate’s final work location.
