Leidos' Defense Systems Mechanical Design & Analysis Department is seeking a Missile Launcher Design Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama, to design next‑generation air defense launchers to protect America and its allies.
You will design unique hardware for the U.S. Army’s Indirect Fire Protection Capability (IFPC Inc
2) missile launcher using Creo CAD and Windchill PLM. You will work with the production team to turn designs into hardware, may help integrate and install the hardware, and collaborate with the testing team to operationalize the hardware. This position is part of a fast‑paced program with unique technical challenges, and requires a high‑performing team environment.

Primary Responsibilities- Structural design via Creo CAD software, drawing generation in accordance with ASME Y14.100 & Y14.5, and producing technical data packages in accordance with MIL‑STD‑31000.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET‑accredited university and 8+ years of applicable experience in design and/or analysis of mechanical systems; or Master’s degree with at least 6 years prior experience.
- Mission‑focused. Ready to contribute to a high‑performing team.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- Candidates with experience leading engineering design teams will be preferred.
