Neel-Schaffer is seeking applications from qualified candidates for the position of Project Manager – Water/Wastewater to join our growing engineering firm. It is preferred that this position be based in our Huntsville or Birmingham, AL, offices. We are also open to the candidate being located within the Montgomery or Auburn/Opelika, AL, areas, with an understanding that travel to Birmingham, Huntsville and other markets will be required.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, looking for career growth, and possess solid communication and problem-solving skills in a collaborative team environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience in water modeling and treatment, along with wastewater treatment. Additionally, the Project Manager – Water/Wastewater will have experience with water main, gravity sewer system, booster station, and sewer lift station design.

- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Alabama or the ability to obtain within 6 to 12 months, preferred.
- 10-plus years of experience with technical work and project management in the field of Water/Wastewater or Environmental Engineering.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to plan and conceptualize.
- The ability to produce technical reports and memorandums that are clear, concise, and accurate.
- The ability to communicate effectively during day-to-day interactions with teaming partners, colleagues, and clients.
- Experience with hydraulic computer models such as EPANET, Bentley Water
CAD or Autodesk Info Water, preferred. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
