Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer / Sr. Principal Systems Engineer. This position is located in Roy, UT or Huntsville, AL and supports the Sentinel program. What You'll Get To Do:
The selected candidate will join our team of qualified individuals. This role will be a member of a team of system engineers who will continue to mature the interfaces products for the weapon system from Preliminary Design Review phase to a Critical Design Review and beyond. The role includes working in a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and/or supporting the development of at least the following key interface artifacts:
* Interface Control Documents (ICDs)

* Interface Requirements & Verification Plans

* Interface Logical and Physical Architecture

* Interface Nx CAD Models

Basic Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either the Principal Systems Engineer level (T-03) or Sr. Principal Systems Engineer level (T-04).
* Principal Systems Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience, or 3 years of experience with a Master's degree.

* Sr. Principal Systems Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience, 6 years of experience with a Master's degree; 4 years with a PhD. Required for Both Levels:
* Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years.

* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

* 3+ years experience with technical review boards.

* 3+ years experience working with interfaces

* 3+ years experience leading/supporting trade studies or tiger teams

* 3+ years experience with Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence) or similar

* 3+ years experience working with Cameo or similar tools

* 3+ years experience working with DOORS or similar tools

* 3+ years experience working with Nx or similar tools
