Position: Engineering Internship (Summer 26)-Early Notification with Security Clearance
Description src's summer internship program provides an opportunity for college students to obtain meaningful work experience through on-the-job training assignments.
* taking an active part in the design, development, integration, and testing of site projects
* providing engineering support for technical problems and recommending a course of action
* assisting senior engineers on complex problems, as assigned
* reporting individual and group project status
* developing and presenting a summer capstone project to division leadership
* may work across multiple programs in both a team environment and independently to perform their assigned tasks [#li-dh1] requirements
* searching for students majoring in electrical, computer or mechanical engineering, computer science or a related engineering discipline
* minimum of 3.0 grade point average (gpa)
* eligibility to obtain a dod secret security clearance
* interpersonal skills that augment performance within a team environment
* professional communication skills to include interaction with engineering team members and management in informal and formal settings desired skills
* matlab, python, or c/c++ experience
* experience in reviewing and evaluating design calculations and data from an engineering perspective
* must be able to read design/construction drawings and be able to understand design narratives and calculations
* technical writing skills to be applied in preparing manuals, parts lists, proposals and design documentation clearance information src is a contractor for the u.s.
