Opportunity

People Tec is currently seeking a Senior Survivability Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location.

Develops and implements survivability strategies to enhance system resilience against kinetic and non‑kinetic threats. Conducts vulnerability assessments and integrates countermeasure technologies across platforms to meet mission survivability goals.

Strategic partner to the Program Manager, AMCOM G2, and AvMC Protective Technologies. Influences program direction based on technical considerations and System Security Engineer requirements and initiatives. Presents threat assessments, near‑peer threat systems, and system assurance requirements for review and approval. Supports the PMO in managing changes to the system to improve system resiliency.

Duties
  • Technical:
    Establishes requirements for protective technologies, export controls, and improved system assurance of major end items owned by the Product Manager. Works with the intelligence community to capture requirements for counter‑acting near‑peer threat systems. Provides classified requirements to OEMs and tracks progress to support resilient systems. Works with Foreign Military Sales to protect Critical Program Information (CPI) and other technologies selected for foreign partners.

    Works with the Protective Technologies office to ensure appropriate technologies are utilized. Ensures system protection and assurance best practices are followed.
  • Trade Study Support:
    Conducts trade studies to evaluate different capabilities that provide system resiliency and security requirements into radar, missiles, and C2 systems associated with the PdM.
  • Documentation:
    Creates and maintains Program Protection Plans, Foreign Military Sales documentation, and Security Classification Guides.
  • System Assurance, Survivability and Resiliency:
    Provides requirements for Radar, Missile, EW and C2 software and algorithms to protect against near‑peer threats that may degrade performance.
  • System Security Architecture Oversight:
    Ensures the system architecture is robust, scalable, and meets all system security/resiliency requirements.
  • Risk Management:

    Identifies, assesses, and mitigates cost, schedule, and technical risks for System Security Engineering capabilities.
  • Technical Governance – Compliance:
    Establishes and enforces technical standards, processes, and system security best practices for Major End Items associated with the PdM capabilities.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    Communicates system security engineering technical information to stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years’ experience.
  • Deep technical expertise in System Security Engineering, Protective Technologies, CPI Assessments, Cyber, and/or Program Protection Planning.
  • Leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and experience working across Integrated Product Teams and Cross‑Functional Teams.
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of relevant experience; additional education may be substituted for years of experience.
