Canvas seeks an Engineer III or Analyst III to lead Engineering Operations for the Missile Defense Agency’s Specialized Engineering & Analysis (SEA) contract, specifically supporting the Advanced Capabilities (AC) group. This position ensures compliance with MDA processes, facilitates technology transition, and manages critical coordination for internal and external engagements.

• Lead Engineering Operations:
  Manage processes and procedures for AC, including E-Taskers, Weekly Activity Reports, Staff Call slides, conference packages, and speaker requests.
• Approval Coordination:
  Support AC engineers in obtaining MDA approvals for speaking engagements, publications, SBIR/STTR/BAA contract holders, and other requests that advance technology transition within the Missile Defense System.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
  Coordinate with internal MDA stakeholders and external performers to secure approvals for foreign disclosure, data sharing, and conference participation; facilitate SES-level meetings for final approval.
• Document Security & Marking:
  Provide marking guidance and corrections on Distribution B‑F documents for CUI and classified use; ensure proper handling for external technical defense conferences; research and communicate conference security requirements and document-sharing procedures.
• Information Protection:
  Ensure compliance with MDA security protocols and protect sensitive information during external engagements.
• Team Support:
  Deliver organizational, communication, editing, and planning support to a team of ~20 AC personnel (government and contractor).

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Business, or related field.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in engineering operations, technical program support, or analysis.
• Strong knowledge of MDA processes for approvals, document marking, and information security.
• Proficiency with task management tools (e.g., TMT), MS Office Suite, and collaborative workflows.
• U.S. citizenship; ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.

• Prior experience supporting MDA programs.
• Familiarity with SBIR/STTR/BAA processes and conference security requirements.
• Experience facilitating SES-level meetings and coordinating multi-stakeholder approvals.
