ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. In this role you will design and develop the safety-critical circuitry to be used in Ignition Safety Devices (ISD) and Electronic Safe and Arm Devices (ESAD).
WHAT YOU’LL DO- Design and own embedded control electronics from concept to production, including hardware selection, schematic & PCB design, board bring-up, and system level integration.
- Troubleshoot issues that span the electrical and software boundaries, with solid skills using both lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMM, etc.) and software debugging tools.
- Work closely with other electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver fully functional products.
- Work in a fast-paced environment supporting new developments, active deployments, and customer operated hardware.
- Helped managed product sustainment in a production process with engineering improvements, product cost down, and sourcing engineering support.
- Concurrently manage involvement in multiple projects at various stages.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
- 8+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex embedded systems and products.
- Demonstrated experience with some of the following: 8- and 32-bit Microcontrollers, Linux-based SOCs, FPGAs, Ethernet, common communication busses (SPI, I2C), and power regulation.
- High voltage DC and safety devices.
- Power management and supply design experience - low power DC; medium voltage AC; battery storage systems.
- Network management and switch design experience - Ethernet Gbit switch/PHY; configuring Ethernet switches (SW/PC).
- Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers, current-probes, and automation of tests.
- Exceptional organization and communication skills (both written and oral).
- Proficient with Altium Designer or equivalent electronic design automation design tools.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

C. - Familiarity with software development processes and tools such as git, Github, JIRA, etc.
- Experience with developing for a safety-critical environment.
- Experience working on products used in tough environments (automotive, aerospace, defense, etc.).
- Knowledge of embedded software development, including use of timers, interrupts, hardware peripherals such as SPI controllers and ADCs.
US Salary Range
$126,000 — $167,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
