At ReLogic Research, you won't be just another headcount. We're a tight-knit team of engineers, physicists, and technical professionals solving complex challenges in national defense - and we're looking for people who take pride in getting the details right.
As an AS9100D-certified small business supporting the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Missile Defense Agency, we move fast, trust our people, and give team members real ownership of their work. If you're an experienced Mechanical Designer who enjoys turning concepts into buildable hardware, creating clean drawings, and seeing designs come to life, ReLogic is where you belong.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers and analysts to translate concepts and design intent into detailed CAD models and manufacturing-ready drawings
- Create CAD models and detailed drawings of parts and complex assemblies in Solid Works
- Develop clear, accurate engineering drawings that support fabrication, assembly, and inspection
- Follow company product definition standards and revision control procedures
- Submit, peer review, and release drawings through ReLogic Research's document control system
- Support prototype builds, integration, and installation activities to ensure hardware is assembled and implemented as intended
- Coordinate with engineering and technical teams to resolve design and documentation issues
- Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a clearance
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, drafting, or related technical work
- Strong proficiency in Solid Works modeling and drawing creation
- Experience creating manufacturing-ready drawings and mechanical assemblies
- Working knowledge of GD&T and mechanical drawing standards
- Experience with revision control/document management systems (Solid Works PDM preferred)
- Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent professional experience in mechanical design, drafting, or a related field
- Experience with Solid Works Product Data Management (PDM)
- Familiarity with ASME Y14.100, Engineering Product Definition and Related Documentation Practices
- Experience supporting hardware integration, prototyping, or installation activities
- Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries
