Position Overview

KODA Technologies is seeking a Structures Engineer to support a critical government program office by providing technical oversight of OEM structural testing activities and ensuring the integrity, compliance, and airworthiness of advanced aerospace systems.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical oversight and evaluation of OEM structural test plans, procedures, and schedules to ensure compliance with government requirements.
  • Analyze structural test data and independently assess results, preparing briefings, reports, and risk assessments for program leadership.
  • Collaborate with government engineers, OEMs, and cross-functional Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to resolve technical challenges and ensure program alignment.
  • Develop and review technical documentation including test evaluations, system procedures, and engineering assessments.
  • Support structural testing activities by witnessing static, dynamic, and fatigue tests and ensuring adherence to approved methodologies.
  • Engage with stakeholders and leadership through technical working groups, providing subject matter expertise and guidance on structural systems.
  • Identify technical risks related to airframe structures and develop mitigation strategies to support program execution and airworthiness certification.
  • Support program execution through planning, coordination, and Earned Value Management (EVM) responsibilities as a control account manager.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in aerospace structural engineering or related field.
  • Experience supporting structural analysis, test evaluation, and airworthiness or certification activities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in DoD, federal, or aerospace engineering environments.
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience supporting DoD or Federal programs, particularly Army or aviation programs.
  • Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools and structural analysis methods.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, OEMs, and government stakeholders.
  • Strong technical documentation, briefing, and reporting experience.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering, airworthiness certification, and structural test methodologies.
  • Advanced degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or related field; experience with MBSE tools (e.g., 3DX) preferred.
Clearance

U.S. Citizenship and Active Secret Clearance is required.
