Job Summary

At Raytheon Technologies, the Hardware Engineering Directorate is looking for an Electrical Engineer II in the Effector Guidance Electronics Department, located in Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on designing digital electronic circuitry for missile guidance, video, and digital signal processing systems with the goal of delivering reliable performance from proposal through production.

Responsibilities
  • Design, analyze, simulate, test, and integrate digital electronic modules and composite circuitry assemblies (CCAs) for missile applications.
  • Lead the development of circuit card designs, including processor interfaces, FPGAs, memory, and industry-standard links such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART.
  • Work across all phases of the product life cycle – from concept and block diagram through prototype development and transition to production.
  • Perform verification of designs through test and integration activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to apply cutting‑edge technology solutions.
Core Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Minimum of 2 years of engineering digital circuit design experience.
  • Proficiency in designing electronic circuits for multi‑assembly system/unit development.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (DoD Secret) prior to the start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to security clearance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience translating design concepts from block diagram or requirements into complete hardware designs with verification via test and integration.
  • Expertise in PCB design process, schematic capture, and simulation prior to hardware execution.
  • Experience with Mentor Graphics Design Creation tools such as DxDesigner, xDX Designer VX, or Expedition.
  • Experience with Hyper Lynx, Power Integrity, or Xpedition Enterprise (xPCB) for signal integrity and power analysis.

& Benefits

Salary range for this role: $68,900 – $131,100 USD, based on experience and qualifications. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, holidays, and other programs depending on the business unit and collective‑bargaining agreement. Relocation assistance may be available for eligible applicants.
