Sr. MQ-9/HACCAr Test Engineer

Description:
Seeking a motivated, creative, and ambitious Senior MQ-9/HACCAr Test Engineer to join the Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration Directorate (S3I) Joint Technology Center - Systems Integration Lab (JSIL) Tech Center in Huntsville, AL.
The Human Autonomy Common Control Architecture (HACCAr) is a US Department of Defense system designed for controlling multiple semi-autonomous and autonomous Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) via a unified Human-Machine Interface (HMI).
Candidate will assist the Medium Altitude UAS Program Office in their function as a focal point for Flight Test Operations project execution, implementing management procedures and controls. Candidate will Support or conduct Test Plan Working Groups (TPWGs), Technical Review Boards (TRBs), Safety Review Boards (SRBs), and Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) including Fire Readiness Reviews (FRRs) for weapons testing. An ideal candidate will be responsible for preparation, development, review, and approval of test plans, safety plans, test cards and procedures, and reports.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide advisory support and recommend project execution focus areas to include oversight and progress reporting support to ensure on-time completion
- Participate in ground and flight tests to include DT, OT, and Joint Operation Test and Evaluation (JOT&E)
- Provide expertise to reduce/eliminate test redundancies between Developmental Test (DT) / Operational Test (OT) and to safely complete the project test
- Participate as an advisor in support of test meetings, planning sessions, and draft documentation support for the development and presentation of test reports
- Provide advisory support to the customer for the review and coordination of test plans, safety packages and flight cards with all appropriate agencies
- Provide support by monitoring various tests to include identifying risks and recommending potential mitigation strategies to ensure flight tests are accomplished and on time
- Own projects, give/lead presentations and briefs
- Provide advisory assistance to manage employment of project resources and identify potential shortfalls while providing mitigation recommendations for consideration
- Provide advisory assistance coordinating aircraft maintenance, modifications, and test article configurations in accordance with approved modification practices and procedures
- Provide advisory and documentation assistance by collecting, assessing, and evaluating both subjective and objective data acquired through test execution
- Provide advisory and draft documentation assistance to the customer in their function as a Test Director, Test Conductor or Chief of Test
- Strong experience developing and executing test programs
- Proven ability to plan, execute, and report on a specific test project per 413th Flight Test Group (FTG) Test and Evaluation process
- Prepare and coordinate development, review, and approval of test plans, safety plans, test cards, and reports
- Strong experience supporting and conducting TPWGs, TRBs, SRBs, TRRs, and FRRs
- Ensure test planning and execution adequately covers all system requirements
- Coordinate with stakeholders to schedule test assets and support resources
- Track test point execution and produce final test reports
- Strong understanding of Reaper MQ-9 and/or HACCAr
- Strong experience organizing and owning technical engineering projects and managing engineering teams.
- Must be a US citizen
- Must have or be able to obtain a TOP SECRET security clearance
- Bachelor's and minimum ten (10) years of related experience with a minimum of (5) years direct experience with the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Test and Evaluation Process.
