Salary Range: $57,200 – $108,800 USD.
Responsibilities- Design and deliver production‑quality FPGA releases from proof of concept through production.
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, software engineers, and program management to ensure product success.
- Design and code in VHDL focusing on reliability, maintainability, reviewability, and reusability.
- Verify designs using directed and constrained random tests, tracking functional and code coverage.
- Create comprehensive documentation including requirements, verification plans, user guides, and configuration management.
- Provide design support from requirements definition through integration and test.
- Participate in internal and external technical reviews.
- Assist in driving projects and executing on program schedules and budgets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM major.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance.
- Proficiency in digital design and HDL coding targeting configurable logic devices.
- Digital design knowledge and radar/image‑processing techniques.
- Experience delivering FPGA solutions to system‑level applications.
- Experience with one or more FPGA brands (Altera, Lattice, Microchip, AMD) and associated tools.
- Experience debugging electronics using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, etc.
- Experience with FPGA timing constraints and timing closure.
- Experience with digital simulation tools such as Questa, Riviera Pro, or similar.
- Proficiency in Python or C programming.
- Image‑processing techniques for visual and infrared sensors.
- Experience with gigabit serial interfaces and multi‑gigabit transceivers (MGTs).
- Experience with embedded processors and SoC development for FPGA devices.
- Familiarity with the Linux environment and command‑line tools.
- FPGA design experience using a Linux‑based development environment (highly desired).
- Knowledge of Git and Git Hub.
- Knowledge of industry‑standard interfaces and protocols such as AXI, PCIe, SPI, I2C, etc.
- Team‑based work experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self‑directed; able to complete tasks with minimal oversight.
