Join a high-impact national defense initiative as a Senior Systems Engineer supporting the Dark Eagle – Long Range Hypersonic Weapon program. This role provides advanced technical, engineering, and advisory support to the Lead Systems Engineer in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment. You will be instrumental in shaping the systems engineering framework for one of the Army’s most strategic weapons programs.
Duties- Serve as a senior technical advisor to the Lead Systems Engineer.
- Provide expert‑level systems engineering support across the program lifecycle.
- Identify, analyze, and document system design, interface, and verification/validation requirements.
- Develop and maintain systems engineering documentation to support integration, testing, and programmatic activities.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the Dark Eagle program.
- Lead or support Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), including action tracking and coordination.
- Present complex technical concepts and findings to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, etc.).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in systems engineering or related technical discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise in system design, interface definition, and verification/validation processes.
- Familiarity with missile and weapon system components, interfaces, and performance characteristics.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly.
- Proven ability to work independently in a dynamic, high‑tempo environment.
- Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain/maintain Top Secret clearance.
- Master’s degree in a STEM field.
- 12+ years of experience in systems engineering or related work.
- Working knowledge of Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and associated tools (e.g., Cameo, Magic Draw, SysML).
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) weapon systems or hypersonic technologies.
- Systems Engineering Tools: IBM DOORS, Cameo Systems Modeler, Magic Draw, Enterprise Architect
- Modeling
Languages:
SysML, UML - Requirements Management: Traceability, allocation, verification/validation
- MBSE Frameworks: DoDAF, UPDM, UAF
- Data Visualization & Reporting: Microsoft Power BI, Excel, Power Point
- Configuration Management: Git, JIRA, Confluence
- Test & Evaluation: Test planning, execution, and analysis
- Documentation Tools: MS Word, Visio, Share Point
- Collaboration Platforms: MS Teams, Zoom Gov, Outlook
- INCOSE certification: CSEP or ESEP
