The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking an Environmental Control and Thermal Analysis Engineer (Associate or Mid-Level) to support development, design, testing, and delivery of the Core Stage on the Space Launch System (SLS) program in Huntsville, AL.

Position Responsibilities:

* Create or modify thermal math models to support system analysis

* Run analytical cases to determine environments or temperatures of various components or structures of the SLS vehicle

* Collaborate with cross functional teams such as Propulsion and Stress to ensure requirements are met and issues are resolved

* Develop skills and grow into an independent contributor role with increasing technical complexity

* Take on broader ownership of work including design, build, supply chain, production support, and customer support

* Work on exciting challenges within a collaborative and supportive team environment Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
* Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

* Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., CATIA, Solid Works, CREO) and engineering analysis tools (e.g., Thermal Analysis software such Thermal Desktop)

* Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals including mechanics of materials, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics

* Experience with aerospace or defense industry standards and practices

* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment

* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
* Level 3: 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience or course work in thermal design and analysis

* Experience or course work with thermal design and modeling of aerospace platforms

* Experience or course work with thermal analysis tools such as Thermal Desktop, Sinda/Fluint, Space Claim or similar tools

* Experience or course work working with space programs, NASA programs preferred Conflict of Interest:
