As a Materials and Processes Engineer Asc , this role will support the Next Generation Interceptor Program  You will be working side by side with designers, suppliers, quality, as well as test and manufacturing engineers  You will use your education and experience to develop and evaluate new and innovative technologies

In this role you will:

- Participate in Materials and Processes Engineering technical assignments related to hardware manufacturing and testing  Assignments will include technical evaluation and support of manufacturing issues/concerns

- Support trade studies, configuration management, change control, and management of obsolescence of COTS and customer hardware

- Have a hand in the development of the program Materials and Processes  M&P  management plan, the selection, qualification, testing, and failure analysis of M&P

- Prepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks, prepare specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports

- Coordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement

This position requires a security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration

* Basic Qualifications:

*
* - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Materials Science or Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related S T E M  field

- Knowledge in one or more of the following materials and processes engineering areas of expertise:

 Metal finishing processes including plating, anodizing, chemical conversion coating

 Passivation or organic materials such as paints, adhesives, lubricants, bonding

 Components:
Circuit Card Assemblies and Printed Wiring Boards  CCAs and PWBs

 Familiarity with Aerospace Materials & Process related industry standards such as ASTM, AMS, or MIL Standards

 Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

Skills:

* - Knowledge of design, manufacturing, materials, and processes for EEE parts

- Knowledge of CREO and Windchill

- Experience participating in major program reviews such as PDR and CDR

- Knowledge of military specifications and standards

- Background in failure analysis methodologies and root cause investigations

- Experience in supplier collaboration and component sourcing strategies

- Familiarity with industry tools for parts analysis and reliability modeling
