Associate Seeker Radar System Engineer

The Boeing Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) program is developing new capabilities for the Patriot Advanced Capability (PAC‑3) RF seeker. This role supports algorithm development and signal processing for the seeker at the Boeing Jetplex facility in Huntsville, Alabama.

• Develop algorithms for radar signal processing, including Kalman filtering, probabilistic and statistical modeling, and measurement processing from pulsed‑Doppler waveforms.
• Design algorithms that process signal returns into discriminated targets and track targets through the mission timeline.
• Define system performance requirements and ensure interface definitions support various functional components of the seeker and missile architecture.
• Conduct analyses to optimize system‑of‑systems performance and architecture related to acquisition and tracking.
• Analyze seeker simulation data to identify improvement areas and recommend system robustness enhancements under challenging operational environments.
• Apply digital signal processing techniques to re‑radiated signal content to accurately identify signal characteristics.
• Support tactical implementation of algorithm designs into Ada or C++ software.

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a non‑US equivalent qualification directly related to the work.
• Required ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship) and a U.S. Secret clearance post‑start.

• 1+ year experience in Digital Signal Processing/Radar/Digital Communications algorithms (equalization, waveform processing, detection/acquisition/discrimination, channel estimation, filter design, resampling).
• Experience with MATLAB for data analysis, prototyping, and simulation.
• Knowledge of digital signal processing theory, linear signal theory, Fourier transforms, and communication theory.
• Experience with RF, electrical transmission, signal processing, and modeling in MATLAB.
• System test experience (design, implementation, execution) for breadboard and brass board hardware.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced, independent research and development environment.
• Familiarity with multiple programming languages (C++, Ada, Python, etc.) and Agile development.
• Formal technical writing experience (whitepapers, technical notes, journals).
• Experience in technology readiness level (TRL) maturation of novel technologies.

Candidate must be U.S. citizenship and eligible for a U.S. Secret clearance. Position is a 1st shift.
