TSC is seeking highly-motivated students currently pursuing a degree in Electrical, Computer, and/or Wireless Engineering for an Electrical Engineering Co‑Op position in Huntsville, Alabama. The role supports the Radar & Precision Weapons Development Operation and provides academic students with the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to practical work, strengthen future coursework, and clarify their career interests.
Students will commit three semesters to TSC under an alternating work schedule that integrates with their school calendar. The program is designed to give students hands‑on experience with RF/microwave sensors and systems, radar and missile seeker technology, communications systems, and related theoretical foundations in RF/Microwave Systems, Electromagnetic Fields & Waves, Antenna Theory, Digital Hardware Design, Signal Processing, and Embedded Software/Firmware Development.
Responsibilities- Support full‑time engineering staff with a variety of tasks.
- Perform data analysis and post‑flight or mission data processing.
- Assist with military defense systems field‑test support.
- Conduct acceptance testing of RF/microwave components.
- Help develop electronic component test procedures.
- Model circuits using computer‑aided design tools.
- Model systems and verify design performance.
- Integrate and test system components.
- Perform statistical component‑failure analysis.
- Create OrCAD schematics.
- Use HFSS (High Frequency Structural Simulator).
- Design and test low‑voltage digital hardware.
- Analyze signals with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
Co‑ops gain proficiency with computer‑aided design tools including Math Cad, Matlab, Python, AutoCAD, OrCAD, and HFSS.
Required Qualifications- Enrollment in an accredited university and good academic standing.
- Pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Hardware Engineering, Wireless Hardware Engineering, or related field.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Security Clearance.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Coursework or equivalent experience in basic engineering circuit analysis.
- Coursework or equivalent experience in basic digital logic.
