Job Overview
Electrical Engineer – Electrical Component Technologies Department, Huntsville, Alabama.
Onsite position requiring U.S. citizenship and a transferable DoD Secret security clearance.
- Ensure cost‑effective and robust parts are selected, specified, and compliant with application requirements.
- Interface with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop high‑quality, producible designs.
- Evaluate risk and verification data packages to support component selections and justify decisions to program customers.
- Identify parts for the preferred parts list, drive usage of standardized components, provide obsolescence mitigation recommendations, and deliver solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Participate in all phases of the circuit card lifecycle from development through production and present findings in program design reviews.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- Experience in circuit design, circuit analysis, digital electronics, analog circuits, power design, RF design, or printed circuit board design.
- Technical working knowledge of electronic components (semiconductor, passive, electromechanical).
- Experience with board layout on single and multi‑lamination boards, PCB manufacturing, and circuit card assembly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multitask.
- U.S. citizenship and DoD Secret security clearance.
Competitive salary range: $57,200 - $108,800 per year.
