Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer – Huntsville, AL.

Provide systems‑level support in the area of EMC/EMI for NASA Spaceflight Programs. Duties include EMC analysis, test planning, circuit test & analysis, evaluation of test and analysis data and waivers related to EMI, electrostatic discharge, corona, grounding, isolation, bonding, and wiring. Prepare progress reports and schedules to support design reviews and team meetings.

Degree from an ABET‑accredited university in Electrical Engineering or Physics is preferred. Typically the educational requirement is equivalent to a Master’s with at least 3 years of experience or a Bachelor’s with at least 5 years of experience. Experience in EMC analysis, EMC test planning and procedures, and critical circuit test and analysis for space or flight hardware and systems is required.

Additionally, skills in evaluating test data and waivers for electromagnetic interference (EMI), electrostatic discharge, corona, grounding, isolation, bonding, and wiring are required. Familiarity with MIL‑STD‑461 and MIL‑STD‑462 is a plus. Proficiency with PC and appropriate software programs is essential. Experience with ISS hardware and payloads is a plus.
