Job Overview
Leidos Defense Systems Kinetic Effects is seeking an Integration System Test Engineering Lead to serve as an Electrical Engineer responsible for component testing, leading to production of Hypersonic Glide Bodies (HGB). The role involves reviewing HGB integrated test documentation, verifying test equipment data packages, assisting in development of test designs, and addressing quality issues during the Integrated Test process. Travel to Sandia National Labs and other production facilities may be required.
Responsibilities- Review HGB integrated test documentation to assess processes and methods that meet test requirements.
- Review integrated test equipment Technical Data Package and drawings to ensure they are correct and up to date.
- Assist in preparing future changes to test equipment for implementation into production use.
- Verify that quality, documentation, and test requirements are met through verification and validation plans.
- Support development of future test designs by understanding system interconnect diagrams, hardware, and software requirements.
- Develop test methods and procedures to meet test requirements.
- Assist in developing Technical Data Package for delivery to customers.
- Write and issue Non‑Conformance Reports and address quality issues during the Integrated Test process.
- Troubleshoot electrical units under test.
- Provide rapid integration and troubleshooting support for system‑level integration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited school is required; or at least 8+ years of relevant experience (or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree).
- Capable of reading engineering drawings and following work instructions to produce complex assemblies.
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, cable/wiring diagrams, and requirement decomposition.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dedicated workforce.
- Strong communication skills with test, manufacturing engineers, senior leaders, and customers.
- Experience testing a variety of electronic/electrical hardware, including electrical/mechanical assemblies.
