Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer

• Establish and manage product vision, strategy, and goals to align with multiple contracts and facilitate production line conflict resolution with respect to schedule and capacity.
• Lead a team of multi‑disciplined engineers in support of hardware production, test, and delivery of missile sub‑sections and/or All‑Up‑Round.
• Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across the IPTs and other functions to meet cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
• Drive positive change within the production environment as a key stakeholder in Failure Review Boards, FRACAS activities, obsolescence resolution, and other continuous improvement efforts.

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and/or production support, typically with a STEM degree.
• Experience as technical leader of large engineering teams (Project Management).
• Extensive experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ANSI Y14.5.
• Travel to suppliers and other Raytheon facilities as needed.
• U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance prior to start.

• 12 years of directly related work experience in mechanical design and/or production support.
• Mechanical aptitude to provide solutions to moderate‑scope technical problems.
• Strong technical background with high technical aptitude.
• Strong leadership skills and project management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in teams or independently; flexible and proactive.
• Willingness to support design development and production tasks as experience allows.
• Proficiency with Creo (modeling and drawing) and Windchill (PDM).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project).
• Demonstrated ability in technical leadership and execution (e.g., CE or PM).
• Active DoD‑issued security clearance.

USD 132,400 – 251,600.
