Job Summary
Leidos' Defense Systems RF Systems Portfolio is seeking a Research Scientist to join a talented team supporting advanced radar systems research and development in a high‑fidelity modeling and simulation environment. Candidates will set up, test, analyze, and evaluate radar and weapon system performance using modeling and simulation of air defense systems.
Primary Responsibilities- Support M&S configuration, testing, and data analysis activities of radar and weapon systems to determine performance capabilities.
- Demonstrate strong mathematical, analytical and problem‑solving skills in support of analysis products and presentations.
- Work with a team to find solutions to novel, complex, and non‑traditional questions.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics or other technical degree from an ABET‑accredited institution plus 2+ years of M&S experience.
- Proficient in programming (Python preferred, MATLAB, etc.).
- U.S. citizen, able to maintain an active Secret Clearance.
- Resident of Huntsville, AL or willing to relocate.
- Active Top‑Secret Clearance.
- Radar/air defense systems M&S experience.
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics or other technical degree from an ABET‑accredited institution.
- Experience with large military networks (IBCS, CEC, C2
BMC, etc.). - Knowledge of radar algorithms and techniques (search, track, discrimination, etc.).
- Experience working in a Linux operating environment.
Pay range: $69,550 – $125,725. Compensation and benefits include competitive pay, health and wellness programs, income protection, paid leave and retirement.
