Systems Engineer II
LocationHuntsville, Alabama – Onsite (approx. 15‑25% domestic travel)
Security ClearanceActive U.S. Secret clearance required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship required.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, conduct, and analyze radar test events; plan and execute radar test events; collect and analyze mission and sensor data; support pre‑ and post‑mission flight test activities; collaborate with cross‑discipline teams; prepare technical reports and presentations; support engineering activities including system validation, algorithm assessment, and test‑event reconstruction; ensure compliance with engineering processes, quality standards, and test requirements.
What You Will Do- Generate, run, and interpret modeling and simulation scenarios to predict radar performance.
- Support real‑time field analysis during test events and provide reach‑back to development teams.
- Collaborate with group leads, engineers, program leadership, and government stakeholders to define analysis objectives and communicate findings.
- Produce analysis reports, performance assessments, test‑event summaries, and presentation materials for internal and external briefings.
- Contribute to technical reviews, ensuring analytical rigor and alignment with program objectives.
- Support engineering activities: systems validation, algorithm performance assessment, data analysis methodology development, test‑event reconstruction.
- Participate in planning for ground and flight test events, defining data‑collection requirements, preparing analysis tools, and coordinating readiness.
- Ensure test and evaluation activities are conducted per engineering processes, quality standards, and test requirements.
- Minimum 2 years experience in STEM and relevant radar technology (waveforms, beamforming, signal processing).
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or other programming languages.
- Experience in system integration, verification, validation, and testing.
- Preferred: experience with radar flight‑test planning, execution, or data analysis.
- Experience supporting missile defense, Army, or Navy sensors.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary systems engineering teams.
- Experience interacting with internal or external customers and maintaining technical documentation.
- Experience supporting verification/validation strategies for radar capabilities and software builds.
Competitive salary range: $68,900 - $131,100 USD.
