Primary Responsibilities
- Research and development of advanced digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms
- High-fidelity radar and RF modeling, simulation, and analysis, including related tool feature development and maintenance
- Integration and field testing of RF sensors and systems
- CONUS/OCONUS deployment of advanced sensor systems
- A variety of tasks related to signal processing, measurement tracker processing, system performance metrics, sensor simulation, or utility tools as part of larger efforts or customer goals; managing multiple tasks while ensuring compatibility with the group’s larger codebases
- BS degree from an ABET-accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field with 8/12 applicable years of experience, OR MS degree from an ABET-accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field plus 6-10 years of experience
- Excellent math skills and/or good fundamentals in one or more of the following: signals and systems, digital signal processing, tracking algorithms, electromagnetics
- Ability to apply the above skills to radar modeling & simulation, antenna array theory, digital signal processing, tracking, algorithm development, and field testing of sensor systems
- Demonstrated experience in understanding, evaluating, and implementing published scientific literature from sources such as IEEE
- Experience working with Matlab, Python, or similar scientific-based programming tools to implement math or science-based phenomenology related to linear systems, digital signal processing, tracking, or electromagnetics
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong technical background
- Resident of the North Alabama area or willingness to relocate; NOT a remote position
- US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
- Experience in high-performance computing languages such as C++ including CUDA
- Experience in development or operations of radar HWILs
- Experience with ADCs, DACs, clock distribution, or embedded systems
- Highly organized, ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working on any radar or communications related program or project
- Ability to create design documentation, requirements specifications, and other technical documentation
- Experience utilizing AI tools to augment technical output (e.g., to improve or automate documentation or code generation)
- Experience in radar resource management algorithms and approaches to low-latency radar scheduling
- MS degree from an ABET-accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
- Relevant publications in listed technology areas
