People Tec is currently seeking a Senior
Data Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location.

• Responsible for carrying out engineering tasks to deliver an advanced visual analytic application: developing data analytics for desktop and web‑developed visual analytic software; facilitating the bulk analysis of relational information utilizing advanced graphics, visualization, and high‑performance computing, as well as using the specified open source, COTS, and GOTS technologies; and establishing an application that produces manageable, actionable intelligence from streams of a structured and semi‑structured data.

• Design strategies for enterprise database systems and set standards for operations, programming, and security.

• Design and construct large relational databases.

• Integrate new systems with existing warehouse structure and refine system performance and functionality.

Required Skills/

Experience:

• Senior: 8 years of experience
• SME: 10 years of experience
• Java
• Perl
• Python
• PL/SQL
• Familiar with Postgres
• Informatica is a plus
• AWS
• NIFI
• 5 to 7 years of ETL experience
• Spark / Scala
• SQL / PLSQL
• Linux
• Good understanding of data pipelines
• Nice:
  Agile, maven, Gitlab.
• Travel: 10%
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI/CI poly is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI/CI poly upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

• Bachelor Degree in related field or in lieu of degree and 8 years of experience
