Junior Electrical System Design Engineer

Primary Responsibilities

• System level electrical architecture and design
• Creation of block diagrams, electrical system requirements, cable specifications, and cable drawings
• Component selection and derating activities
• New hardware design verification testing
• Support system level integration activities

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET‑accredited institution
• 2+ years of experience in hardware system design and test from architecture through implementation, or an MS degree
• Experience with technical problem solving and root cause analysis
• Capability to work collaboratively with multi‑disciplinary teams
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively within a team environment
• Reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and system block diagrams
• Experience with cable design
• Solid understanding of fundamental electrical circuits and components
• Hands‑on laboratory experience with instrumentation, test equipment, and debug/test methods
• Self‑starter who can work independently
• Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to Huntsville, AL

• Experience leading small to mid‑sized technical teams
• Familiarity with IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 Class 3 and IPC J‑STD‑001 standards
• Electrical design for military hardware or aerospace systems
• Experience supporting cable production
• Experience with high‑power applications
