Join Our Team as an Electronics Engineer. You will work on the development of a sophisticated state‑of‑the‑art avionics product in a world‑class Integrated Product Development environment.
LocationThis position does not support teleworking; the selected candidate will be located near the Lockheed Martin Space facility in Huntsville, AL and must work in the office full‑time.
Role OverviewThe Targets and Countermeasures Program seeks candidates with significant experience in electrical/electronic component and system development, design, integration, and support. This is a senior technical position within a small, agile, cross‑functional design team. Responsibilities include leading product/component designs and working with other engineers to integrate products into a system that meets program requirements.

- 5+ years of professional experience.
- Final DoD Interim Secret clearance required; US citizenship required.
- Related experience working on electrical/electronic development projects.
- Experience with RF test and measurement equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, VNA, oscilloscopes, RF power meters, etc.).
- Active Interim Secret or higher clearance required.
- Ability to interact with peer developers to facilitate interoperability with other subsystems.
- Knowledge of avionics system development techniques and practices, including interface with RF‑sensitive components.
- Experience with Microsoft Visio.
- Advanced degree in engineering from an accredited college or university (desired).
- Relevant experience in the defense electronics industry.
- Experience in leading or presenting at technical reviews and boards.
- Experience with RF microwave test equipment and simulation tools.
- Experience developing RF sensors or active module/subsystems.
- Experience planning and leading technical solutions from proposal through all development stages (SRR, PDR, CDR, qualification, system verification & test, FCA, and transition to production).
- Experience with guidance & navigation components and subsystems.
- Experience with thermal or lithium polymer batteries, especially for launch or space environments.
This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret.
