The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team has an exciting opportunity for an Entry-Level Manufacturing Engineer (level
1) in Huntsville, AL.

We provide support for our Mission Operations Portfolio area which design, build, test, deploy, operate, and maintain a wide variety of mission critical platforms and systems for commercial and government customers. Position Responsibilities:

Leads teams in analyzing product development, innovative producibility studies and production/tooling philosophies.
Conceptualizes and oversees the implementation of the program architecture for build.
Develops manufacturing plans or concepts for high level program requirements.
Resolves complex technical problems.
Organizes technical aspects of proposal development.
Develops and authors new engineering principles, theories and advanced technologies. Develops advanced design solutions.
Conducts research resulting in new product or business opportunities. Consults on lean principles and technologies for enterprise wide initiatives.
Documents and communicates producibility best practices. Identifies training needs. Establishes procedures, standards, protocols and reporting requirements.
Understand how to accomplish tasks through formal channels and informal network; understand the cultures of organizations.
Using a variety of media, clearly convey information and ideas to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message
Make customers and their needs a primary focus of one's actions
Provide products and services that meet the highest technical and quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies and processes and embrace first-time quality as a way of life – not accepting, creating or passing any defects and speaking up
Identify and correct conditions and behaviors that affect employee, public, and customer safety; uphold safety standards; demonstrate proactive safety culture leadership

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Experience establishing manufacturing build plans
Experience working in a production focused engineering role
Experience working with tooling and/or manufacturing operations processes

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace customers
Experience with circuit card assemblies
Experience with Manufacturing Execution System Common Image (MESci)
