We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Technician to serve as a senior technical leader within our electrical repair and manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, engineering collaboration, and mentoring junior technicians while supporting mission‑critical hardware in a controlled, quality‑driven environment. This role contributes to process development, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and R&R operations.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on multi‑layer PCBs, electromechanical systems, and high‑value assemblies
- Lead repair efforts for mission‑critical or non‑standard hardware requiring deep technical expertise
- Collaborate with engineering on failure analysis, corrective actions, and design‑for‑repair improvements
- Develop, validate, and improve work instructions for new products and repair processes
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME) for troubleshooting, repair strategy, and test methodologies
- Train and mentor Electrical Technician personnel on repair techniques, documentation, and quality standards
- Support internal and external audits including AS9100, DCMA, and customer reviews
- Drive continuous improvement through lean initiatives, process optimization, and defect reduction
- Provide input on tooling, equipment, and process capability needs
- 5+ years of experience in electronics repair, manufacturing, or depot maintenance
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced diagnostics and complex component‑level rework
- Advanced IPC certifications (IPC‑A‑610, IPC‑7711/7721, WHMA‑A‑620 preferred)
- Strong documentation, communication, and mentoring skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, quality, and leadership teams
- Experience with automated test systems and corrective action methodologies a plus
- Ability to lift 25‑40 lbs. and sit or stand for extended periods
- Fine motor skills required for micro‑soldering and detailed rework
- Active SECRET security clearance required
