SCA - Engineering Technician

At this time, SCI is recruiting highly qualified candidates whose background and career goals meet our needs for the following position in Huntsville, AL. Please note that due to Department of Defense contract requirements, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.

Job Description:

Performs routine go/no-go tests of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies. Sets up test devices using hand tools or automatic test methods. Documents test results. May perform simple repairs and/or component removal or replacement. May maintain logs and records indicating malfunctions.

Perform environmental testing on all programs. This includes temperature, Vibration, and other environmental tests.

• Setup and monitor thermal and vibration tests per mil-std’s and work instructions.
• Perform mechanical inspections per drawings and procedures using calibrated measuring devices.
• Documentation of test results and other required information using forms and electronic data base.
• Communication with technicians and management staff.
• Must be able to work unsupervised with consistent effort.

• 2-4 years experience
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• 2 year degree or military equivalent
