WhatYou’ll Do
Under limited supervision and in collaboration with our talented Materials and Process Engineering team, you will apply your engineering knowledge to resolve complex materials-related challenges. You’ll support Parts, Materials, and Processes (PMP) requirements from our clients, manage documentation such as ADPMPL, NSMAR, and subcontractor delivery requirements, and facilitate technical reviews and meetings. Your insights will guide material selection, review design drawings, and provide supplier technical support, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
Additionally, you’ll assess corrosion protection strategies, perform galvanic assessments, and support process improvement initiatives. Your expertise will help shape critical design and manufacturing decisions, contributing to the success of our projects and clients.
- Strong understanding of MIL-STD-11991 or equivalent DoD PMP requirements, such as MDA PMAP
- Experience writing material and process specifications
- Familiarity with ASTM standards and industry-standard material specifications
- Ability to interpret design drawings and manufacturing plans
- Proficiency in supporting failure analysis and technical interchange meetings
- Knowledge of corrosion protection and galvanic assessment fundamentals
- Excellent communication skills for technical presentations and documentation
- Experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Prior participation in engineering review boards and process change management
- Knowledge of supplier qualification and reliability protocols
- Familiarity with digital engineering tools and software
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field from an accredited institution
- Relevant industry experience supporting PMP requirements or in a similar engineering capacity, levels 3, 4, or 5
- Ability to work in a hybrid schedule, with a few onsite days per week
- U.S. Citizenship required; dual citizenship not applicable
- Willingness to support project milestones and participate in technical reviews
