Job DescriptionAV is looking for a highly talented Senior Signature/Data Analyst to join our team. In this role you will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Targets and Countermeasures (MDA/TCE) program in solid fuel debris model development and validation, pre- and post-flight trajectory analysis, and on‑site mission support.
Responsibilities- Support the development, integration, analysis, and documentation of target analysis products for pre-mission and post-mission activities for all MDA Flight Tests.
- Plan test activities and provide recommendations for team assignments to support mission activities.
- Contribute to development of Target Vehicle notional trajectories, flight scenarios, and debris scenes.
- Deploy for test missions and develop data analysis products such as Target Best Estimated Trajectory (BET), Target Quick‑look Brief, and Target Launch Time within required 24‑hour (quick‑look) timeframe, ensuring accuracy of data products.
- Participate in target development and test planning activities such as Target System Readiness Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, Target and Test Readiness Reviews, providing analysis and recommendations.
- Prepare technical reports and/or briefings on various technical aspects of Flight Test Targets.
- Master of Science or Master of Arts degree and 12+ years of experience, OR a BA/BS degree from an accredited institution of higher learning and 20+ years of experience in lieu of the MA/MS requirement.
- Interim Secret Security clearance.
- Experience in a minimum of two of the following areas: trajectory/kinematic simulation, Electro‑optical/Infrared (EO/IR) sensor exploitation, Radio frequency (RF) sensor exploitation, geodesy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well alone and with a team.
- B.S. in Engineering or Physics highly desired.
- M.S. in Engineering or Physics.
- Active Security Clearance desired.
- Experience working independently and/or leading sub‑teams to analyze and resolve problems.
- Skilled in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Skilled in use of Matlab and TAOS software.
- Familiar with STK software.
- Experience with missiles, targets, missile defense systems or hypersonic weapons.
This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). Applicants will be asked to provide specific documentation to verify U.S. person status under ITAR and the EAR. A “U.S. person” includes a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual such as a refugee or asylee, as defined in 22 CFR § 120.15.
Some positions will require current U.S. citizenship due to contract requirements.
