Location: Huntsville, AL

Description: The Test Engineer provides support for test processes on the production floor and product startups.

• Coordinate the installation of production test equipment
• Perform test equipment qualifications and characterization
• Coordinate installation of hardware and software updates as required
• Propose ideas for custom tooling to improve overall test processes and equipment
• Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities
• Assist in reviewing engineering design drawings and DFX reports prior to production release for testability
• Assist in developing product‑specific test programs
• Work with cross‑functional teams to address corrective actions
• Assist maintenance in developing preventative maintenance and calibration procedures
• Analyze line return information to drive corrective action on test process issues
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. for test fixture management
• Understanding of metrics and continuous improvement tools (e.g., DPMO, FPY, DPM, Six Sigma, FMEA)
• More than 5 years of electronics manufacturing experience
• Lean Sigma Greenbelt certification
• Familiarity with advanced technologies and applications
• Travel up to 20%, including day and overnight trips

• 4‑year degree in Electrical/Computing Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management
• Understanding of electrical design principles
• Ability to work individually or in teams

Shift: Shift 1 (M‑F 08:00‑17:00)

Full Time
