The Amentum Space Exploration Division (ASED) Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) team is looking for Fall interns!

A Prime Contractor at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala. since 1989, Amentum has supported many marquee NASA programs, including the Space Launch System (SLS) and the International Space Station.

We work collaboratively with the NASA customer in an integrated environment to provide GN&C system design, analysis, and integration support for applications including satellites, lunar landers, and launch vehicles.

Duties

Typical responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Model, simulate, and analyze vehicle and spacecraft dynamics
Analysis of launch vehicle and spacecraft multi-body dynamics, equations of motion, and trajectories to assess contact and clearance during liftoff, separation, and jettison events
Develop, modify, and maintain software simulators, tools, and scripts
Create, edit, and debug software written in Python, C/C++, Matlab, and Simulink
Support verification and validation of technical products
Prepare and present technical reports and/or briefings
Create and review engineering and software documentation

Qualifications

Undergraduate student currently enrolled in science, technical, engineering, math or related degree program leading to a BS degree is required. An ABET accredited institution is preferred.

Must be able to provide own transportation.
