Instrumentation and Controls Engineer

Overview

A client is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to develop the design, fabrication/procurement, and test instrumentation and control systems for a wind tunnel. The Instrumentation and Controls Engineer would be responsible for designing and integrating the electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation elements for a control system. He/she will design and develop the control system and Human Machine Interface (HMI) software applications.

This program is in its earliest hands on stages, moving from design to true hardware, so this is new work.

• Design and integrate electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation elements for wind tunnel control systems.
• Develop control system architecture and HMI software applications.
• Participate in moving from design to hardware prototyping and testing.

• 2+ years of related experience
• Bach degree
• Experience with designing and engineering instrumentation and control and electrical systems
• PLC programming
• HMI design
• Rockwell Automation RSLogix/Studio 5000 SW
• System modeling experience in MATLAB or Python;
  Electrical analysis packages such as ETAP or SKM
• Masters
• Adams Hexagon
