UAS Project Engineer

UAS Project Engineer – Engineering – Full Time – Regular – Secret Clearance – Up to 25% Travel

This position supports the Endurance Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (EUAS) Product Office, providing technical and programmatic leadership for the MQ‑1C Gray Eagle System. The Project Engineer coordinates EUAS efforts, assists in managing technical activities with the Prime System Developer and other government offices, contractors, and federal partners, monitors cost, schedule, and performance, and prepares and presents briefings to leadership, industry partners, and stakeholders.

• Lead and provide technical direction to a multi‑disciplined team to accomplish complex Gray Eagle system tasks, including the Ground Segment.
• Develop and implement technical solutions to multi‑disciplined challenges.
• Monitor cost, schedule, and performance for technical activities within the EUAS product office.
• Lead internal team and contractor progress within estimated time frames and budget constraints, review work products, manage risk/issue management, and brief senior leadership on status, risks, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate EUAS Production and Sustainment efforts with internal and external organizations (UAS TMD, Army labs, PD SAI, PM AMSA, PM TAGM, National Guard Bureau, Joint Services, industry partners).
• Assist in preparing milestone and technical documentation for contract requirements packages and contracting/acquisition strategies.
• Oversee execution of programmatic goals and coordinate milestone activities among stakeholders, derive necessary technical documentation to support contract packages.

• BS required with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience (preferred).
• Product Level Management Experience under an ACAT I or II program (preferred).
• Experience in related field of expertise at the program level, ideally providing programmatic or systems engineering/integration support for major DoD acquisition activities.
• Experience in complex aviation system development, testing, fielding, training, and life‑cycle sustainment.
• Thorough knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations, contract/subcontract terminology, and business practices.
• Experience administering various contract types (Cost Plus Fixed Fee, Cost Plus Incentive Fee, Firm Fixed Price).
• Demonstrated experience working individually and facilitating working groups.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to prepare detailed technical reports and PowerPoint briefings for senior military and corporate leaders.
• Strong understanding of Army Acquisition processes, Milestone Documentation, and program decision processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).
• US citizenship required; active DoD Secret clearance required and maintainable.
