Bel Research has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer to support development of the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA's) Ground-Based Mid-course Defense (GMD) program on the GWS program.

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in STEM and 6 years of related experience, or 5 years of experience with a PhD in STEM.
• Strong technical presentation skills
• Experience estimating planning and scheduling algorithm development and analysis work for a technical team
• Recent and extensive MATLAB and Python experience/proficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn and absorb new concepts.
• Proven experience in developing, prototyping and evaluating complex algorithms
• Extensive background in mathematics or science
• Must be able to support an in-person/closed‑area work environment
• Applicants must have a current active in‑scope DoD‑issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start.

• Experience with the MDA GMD program.
• Advanced degree in Mathematics or Physics.
• Unix/Linux operating system experience.
• Experience with planning/scheduling algorithms.
• Experience with sensor modeling, communication modeling, and/or missile modeling.
• Battle Management or Fire Control experience.
• Experience with Linux, scripting, and operations.
