We are looking for an Associate Manager, Cable and Harness Design to join the team that creates Wire Harness and Cable Design for space applications! The team supports multiple lines of business at Lockheed Martin which means you could be designing wiring systems for the next mission to Mars or the next generation of GPS satellites.

• Huntsville AL
• Littleton CO You will be working a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.

• You will provide leadership, functional management and technical direction to a team of approximately 12 engineers responsible for electromechanical engineering research, design, development, and production support for the Harness Core Team.
• As a Associate Manager of Cable and Harness Design, you will be responsible to provide the functional directorate, program management, and their customers' effective project management, accurate and detailed plans and schedules and efficient production support. You will also be capable of furthering the department's development, growth, and expertise. Key activities you will accomplish in this role:
• Provide leadership on a fast paced team from requirements through development and production.
• Be responsible to assure coordination between functional groups during the product development life cycle.
• Communicate technical status and issues internally to program leadership, technical leadership and functional leadership as well as externally to the customer.
• Conducting personnel management for a portion of the NGI Wiring team.
• Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection, and training.
• Responsible for performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
• Participate in technical reviews and audits.

• Experience in leading Zuken schematic/cabling drafting tool (or similar) and Creo 3D modeling tool (or similar) design teams, programs, or projects.
• Collate with subsystems, survivability, environmental, and other specialty engineers to develop unique cables for various space products.
• Experience in presenting to leadership and customers in design reviews and technical interchange meetings.
